Guide to a quick christmas table

Tonight is the night....everyone is gathering around the table with family and friends. What about those people who leave everything to last minute?! Here is a quick, simple way to style your christmas table and everyone will think you really thought about that.

1. Ruby table linen (like this one from Crate and Barrell)
2. Fold a ruby napkin (like this one from Crate and Barrell) and put on top of the plates
3. On top of each napkin display one pine (you can find a bag of pine at Michael's)
4. Golden silverweare and golden trim glasses give that extra charm
5. Golden Charger plate from West Elm
6. Display you best china (this one is from West Elm)
7. Create your own centerpiece, like this one with cranberries and a candle on a hurricane vase

I Want: Vittsjo line from IKEA

Hello everyone,

I have a few pieces of furniture in mind...because I live with my husband I wanted to make our house a little more masculine so he could feel like this is his home too. To create that feel I bought a lot of dark wood furniture....and now I want to change it!!!
A good option to substitute all of the dark wood is the furniture from the vittsjo line from IKEA. The metal gives a heavy feeling (masculine) and the glass contrasts with a lighter feeling (feminine). The overall feeling that it creates is not as "dark" and masculine as all this wood...it gives a contemporary feeling. Take a look at what people have been doing with the Vittsjo line.
