Tonight is the night....everyone is gathering around the table with family and friends. What about those people who leave everything to last minute?! Here is a quick, simple way to style your christmas table and everyone will think you really thought about that.

1. Ruby table linen (like this one from Crate and Barrell)
2. Fold a ruby napkin (like this one from Crate and Barrell) and put on top of the plates
3. On top of each napkin display one pine (you can find a bag of pine at Michael's)
4. Golden silverweare and golden trim glasses give that extra charm
5. Golden Charger plate from West Elm
6. Display you best china (this one is from West Elm)
7. Create your own centerpiece, like this one with cranberries and a candle on a hurricane vase

Brad Pitt: Actor, architect or designer?

After so many years, innumerous characters, Brad Pitt’s new role will certainly shock everyone.  Not a criminal, not a hero, this time he will star as a furniture designer in real life.

Declared fan of architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Pitt says that he sketches furniture and buildings since the 90’s. And to show his love for architecture he has even created the Make It Right Foundation in which he enlists architects to create affordable housing in New Orleans.

This time Pitt decided to show his passion for design pairing up with architect Frank Pollaro and creating a new line of furniture ranging from beds to tables. But, according to Pollaro, it was not easy to decide which of Pitt’s designs to use to create this limited collection, to do so; they talked about materials, trends, functionality, and so on.

However, do not expect to finds  this collection to be sold at Ikea; besides carrying the name, some pieces utilize high quality materials such as a glass-top side table that features a wispy spiraling metal base finished in 24K gold.

Anyways you can still check out the collection which debuts November 13th and get some ideas.
