Trend: Ginger Jars
The Ginger Jar got its name from
the traditional use to carry ginger from the East to the West.
With wide mouth, bulged body and a
lid, this jar was also used to store spices back in the time. Now, it is used
worldwide as a decoration piece.
Although most commonly
seen in white and blue it is also possible to find it in other colors. Each has
a different meaning and symbolism to the Chinese culture.
The yellow represented the emperor’s
color, the red symbolized happiness, and the white was a traditional wedding
gift.
So could it be a good wedding
gift idea? What do you think?

Louboutin inspired decor
Imagine walking into a room where your red sole shoes match your pillow?
I heard about people that like to match their shoes and their bags or match shoes and belts, but, I have never heard of people that match their Louboutin with the decor of their house.
Weird, right?! However, somehow, it makes sense, from the romantic to the rocker style...just take a look.

Art: Jen Ramos
When I was about fifteen years old
I remember going to Michael's and buying a bunch of canvas, brushes, and
paints. I got home and started using my new toys, I did a few paintings for my
mom and told her that maybe I should be an artist...my paintings basically
consisted of abstract struck around the canvas creating something that, I believed,
was modern and very artistic. Of course, I did not become an artist and my mom
doesn't have my paintings anymore.
Yesterday as I was
looking around in the internet, I finally realized why I didn't become a
painter...I found the work from Jen Ramos! Her paintings are exactly what I
always imagined but could never do. It is incredible, when I saw it was like
she was inside my head but with a good hand to make it happen.
Anyways, if you
have not seen her works check it out here. The color scheme is so diverse that I am
sure you will find THAT piece that was missing in your space.
P.S.: Don't forget
to check out the prints too!

Decor tips: BLACK and WHITE living room
Deciding on a color scheme when
decorating the living room can be a very difficult task. If you decide to use
too much color it can become tacky, if you use less color it can be too
blend...so what to do?!
My tip is not to worry
about it! Use colors that you like, remember that you are the one that will be arriving
home every day and spending the most time at your living room.
And if you happen
to like BLACK and WHITE; no problem! Check out some options to create a BLACK
and White living room that is far away from being boring.
